Jujutsu Kaisen: Yorozu’s “crazy” trick might’ve been the real Sukuna-killer, not Hollow Purple or Jacob’s Ladder

Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 263, which came out on July 15, 2024 hinted at Ryomen Sukuna’s possible end for the first time when Hana Kurusu showed up at the end and hit him with a full-power Jacob’s Ladder. We don’t know yet if this move can beat Sukuna, but the story might’ve already shown us a trick that could’ve been key to finishing off the bad guy.

The chapter wrapped up the domain fight as Yuta/Gojo and Sukuna left their domains after Sukuna got hit by a Hollow Purple attack. Yuji and Aoi kept chasing the King of Curses, not giving him a chance to catch his breath.

When Hana showed up at the chapter’s end, it gave the sorcerers some hope, but she won’t succeed. This is because the King of Curses has dodged every trick the sorcerers tried. So, the only cursed technique that might have had a tiny shot at beating Sukuna would’ve been Yorozu’s True Sphere.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Looking at how Yorozu’s True Sphere might be a key move to beat Ryomen Sukuna

Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 263 kicked off with Ryomen Sukuna taking a hit from Yuta/Gojo’s Hollow Purple. This blow knocked him out of the domain. Yuta then left and teamed up with Yuji and Aoi, who had already trapped the King of Curses. , Gojo’s body couldn’t handle more, so Yuta had to step back again.

Meanwhile, Yuji and Aoi kept the King of Curses occupied, since Hollow Purple touched him. As the fight hit a stalemate, Hana Kurusu showed up. She took a risk and shot a full-power Jacob’s Ladder at Sukuna. Because Hollow Purple didn’t do much against Ryomen Sukuna, Jacob’s Ladder might also flop.

So, what move could be strong enough to finish off the King of Curses once and for all? Some fans might not buy this, but Yorozu has already shown this move during the Culling Game part of Jujutsu Kaisen.

Yorozu, a cursed sorcerer from the Heian Era, came back to life in Tsumiki Fushigoro’s body. When she was alive, she had an obsession to make Ryomen Sukuna fall for her. As you might guess, she tried to do it again after coming back.

As the fight was about to end with the King of Curses winning, Yorozu did something that might be the most powerful move in the show— the True Sphere.

The True Sphere is a special technique based on the idea of making a perfect round ball. Yorozu made it using a weird material called liquid metal that no one knows much about.

The True Sphere had pressure that never ended, which made a force that went on forever and you couldn’t dodge. To make sure her cursed technique got to Sukuna, she made her domain, Threefold Affliction bigger. This turned True Sphere into a move that couldn’t miss.

Sukuna got out of Yorozu’s trap pretty because he had Mahoraga, which was Megumi’s cursed technique. But if Sukuna didn’t have Mahoraga, he might have died right there. The True Sphere’s infinite force would have killed him.

To explain the True Sphere concept

As the name suggests, a True Sphere has a round surface without any points touching other things. When you put a sphere on a flat surface, it makes a point of contact. Real spheres, no matter how round they are always have these contact points. This happens because of the natural chaos in the world, which scientists call Entropy. So, a True Sphere is just an idea that can’t exist.

Yorozu’s True Sphere had no flat parts, so its area was ‘zero’. In physics, pressure (P) and area (A) have an opposite relationship. This means that when the area gets smaller, the pressure gets bigger. Since Yorozu’s True Sphere had no area at all, its pressure would be almost infinite (because you’re dividing by zero).

Since pressure (P) and force (F) are linked in physics (more pressure means more force), Yorozu’s True Sphere packed an endless force that could wipe out anyone in the series. Sukuna steered clear of this killer move because Mahoraga could adjust to any process just like it did with Gojo Satoru’s Infinity.
